This is probably a common question but here goes

I am looking at buying a new macbook pro in the near future (just trying to work out if its cheaper to buy through college or work) and wondered how much mine is worth.

It was brand new in September 2007, so its on tiger, its the 2.16ghz, 1gb memory, superdrive version, mid-range at the time. It is perfect apart from a crack on the front (opposite side to the ir receiver) which apple wouldn't replace under warranty but it doesn't affect anything, hasn't grown since i noticed it last year and isn't falling apart so its purely cosmetic.

What should i be asking for this in the classifieds?

Also, what are the chances of a new pro coming out in the near future?

    Thanks
    Mike

New MBP? Slim. Like the desktops they get speed bumps twice a year and that may happen late Spring.

Is that you're thinking of selling a MacBook, or a MacBook Pro?

It's just that I'm thinking of getting a MacBook Pro now I've let my better half have my MacBook.
