SEAGATE SAID that LG plasma TVs are shipping that integrate its hard drives as part of a digital video recorder combination.

The PY2DR series includes a 160GB DB35 consumer electronic drive which will store up to 14 hours of digital high def programming.

The plasma TVs include an automatic time shift feature, slow motion rewind and forward capabilities and instant replay.

The plasma 50- and 60-inch screens include a nine in two memory card reader, Firewire, have a 5000:1 contrast ratio, and 1366 by 768 pixel resolution. No pricing details are available yet. µ

160 gig is not enough is it! But then I daresay it's upgradeable. HDTV in UK will be copy protected, so not recordable? I wonder if you can access the drive from a network, or USB, to put on downloaded HD content?

I see LG is way ahead of the competition again, and appears they will stay that way. :smashin:

It's gonna be a struggle to get it to work properly for us in UK, but yes, a great idea for a TV. Wonder if it's got video out for other rooms?

Get yourself an A/V Transmitter Mr Maw, I believe you are coming around to LG :thumbsup:
