    Super Multi Format recorder (DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD+R)
    Dual layer recording (DVD+R DL)

None of the Dual layer discs I've burned have been very compatible with the DVD players I've tried them in.

    Hello Rasczak.
I've read somewhere that the new Sony machines are very similar to LG's in the menu structure etc. These new LG's look suspiciously like them, don't you think?
Not that I'm complaining. I tried the LG4912 and it was very good, but no RGB in. Do you know if the new models will have it?

Not sure. Other than the press release quoted and a non-hands on display I know very little about these machines yet. Hopefully I will get a review model soon.

They don't seem to have all the features of the top model here. Picture in picture is not mentioned, for example, nor is dual layer capability
