I am just about to buy a new PC from Evesham, I was wondering could I use a new HDTV TV as a PC monitor rather than a specific normal LCD monitor ?

I would like to buy and use a new HDTV for my Xbox 360 and if possible also connect the PC to the same screen.

Is it possible ? Has anyone else tried this ?

Would appreciate some input, thanks very much

    Yes - definitely.

Either from VGA to VGA (check TV has one) or preferably HDMI to HDMI or DVI to HDMI.

I'm running a new Dell with a Toshiba 46" LCD, via a DVI to HDMI lead.

DVI/HDMI will allow you to run at maximum resolution for the TV, whereas most TVs limit the resolution via VGA.

If you're going to be using it as a PC monitor, then you'd see a real benefit from a 1080p screen.
