Hi guys and gals, I wonder if someone could enlighten me please?
I have recently bought a new 2020 HP Pavillion Laptop to enable be to run video editing software. The specifications are as follows:
The biggest culprits I can find are Chrome and Bitdefender (sometimes Malwarebytes too).
My query is why would these seemingly use 60%+ of the RAM and often 80%+ of the CPU and that's while I am just using the internet?
Thanks in advance.
I have recently bought a new 2020 HP Pavillion Laptop to enable be to run video editing software. The specifications are as follows:
- Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1065G7 CPU @ 1.30GHz 1.50 GHz
- 8.00 GB (7.70 GB usable)
- 512 GB SSD
- Intel i3 or better multicore processor, 2GHz or above
- 4 GB RAM (8GB required for HD and 4K videos)
- At least 10GB free hard-disk space for installation (SSD-Solid State Disk recommended for editing HD and 4K videos)

- Bitdefender and Malwarebytes seemed to both run on a live basis (no scheduled scans)
- Chrome has just three extensions running and rarely have 5+ tabs open
Thanks in advance.
