    Hi,

Rumours saythe show is enjoyable, especially with Ving Rhames in the part of Kojak!

Show will start on ITV4 in November! More details, as and when I can find them! :)

I like Ving Rhames...he's cool and kicks ass in Dawn of the Dead! Oh yeah, will it take up the slot left by Hell's Kitchen USA?

I was a little dissapointed with this new re-envisioning (BSG terminology), it's not bad but it lacked something compared to the more hard hitting and stylish crime dramas than have been coming out of the US recently.

Nothing to lose by giving it a go, I didn't think I would like Numb3ers but I was pleasently surprised:)

it is a shame...there was no character development at all...it was a very weak plot, averagely acted...boring...

    Hi,

I think I've worked out why the ITV4 showing of "Kojak" didn't go down with you folks too well. It's Part 1 of a 2 Part Pilot Episode!

Basically, there are 10 episodes in Season 1. The first two episode are called "Pilot - Part 1" and "Pilot - Part 2". In the USA, they were broadcast as separate hour-long episodes, but Part 2 aired straight after Part 1 (e.g. between 9 and 11pm).

However, in the UK, we're seeing them as Part 1 (on Tuesday 1st November) and then Part 2, next Tuesday night. Hence, the disjointed plot lines, etc.

I hope that by the end of Part 2, the show should be a little more worthwhile and enjoyable! :)

Sorry Pooch, but I must dispute your TV guru-ness again.

For some bizarre reason, ITV4 decided to ignore the pilot altogether & started their run on November 1st with Episode 3: "All that Glitters".

    Eejits

FWIW, I quite enjoyed it, even if it is one of the ugliest new shows I've seen in a very long time...

    Hi Aprout,

    I stand corrected! :)

Like you say, ITV are complete pillocks for starting a new show, minus the Pilot Episodes, which explains why the episode we all saw didn't seem to work as well as I had hoped. Let's hope ITV4 do air the Pilot at some point, so that we can try to get our heads around the show!

The pilot was doing the rounds on Sky Movies in the summer. I caught it and thought it was quite good...made me look forward to the new series, which, being a Sky subscriber, I'm missing out on big time...

    Hi,

Have had an e-mail from ITV4. They weren't allowed to air the two-part "Kojak" Pilot Movie, as it wasn't included in the contractual rights. Until the rights finish, with the current holders, Sky Movies, then they can only show the stand-alone episodes. Bloody Sky! :thumbsdow
