Has anyone got one of the new JVC 37" LCD's
Any Good, any problems ?.
Please give me some feedback
it's basically a larger version of the LT-32DS6 and the LT-26DS6. They have threads running:
I tested it before release and am very impressed. I've managed to hold onto it (so far) and I certainly don't want to let it go.
I saw the LT-37DM6 working with a HD source and is it fantastic. I have not seen it with SD as it was in a JVC stand and they didn't want to connect anything else. Does the LT-32DS6 have the same PQ?
It has the same picture, but with the same resolution at a smaller screen you can sit a bit closer off course....
Garyb. Good to hear from you. You sorted out my JVC 36" Progessive scan problem many thanks.
Can this baby handle all the Hi-DEF modes, particularly 720p 50HZ/60HZ ?.
What resolution does it run in PC mode, can it do 1366x720 ?
Is the backlight adjustable ?.
Are the picture ratios correct. I read some reviews on some earlier JVC LCD's and they said that the picture ration was not right (the image was stretched).
And finally just out of interest, why is this model not on the JVC website ?.
Thanks for any help.
Do the picture options, Brightness contrast etc stay in memory for each individual input.
My Sharp does this and I cant understand why all manufacturers dont do it, its only a very somple software thing surely.
Glad to be of assistance.
Yes, it can do everything and is HD Logo approved.
I don't have the details to hand but I don't think it goes that high in PC mode. I'll check when I get back to work on Tuesday.
Yes. There are 2 brightness controls. One is "normal" brightness, the other is backlight brightness.
Yes. All new JVC LCDs are 16:9. Some earlier models from many manufacturers were 15:9 as those were the only panels available in volume at the time.
It will be soon. I'll try and get that done next week.
BTW there will be two versions of the LT-37. The LT-37DS6, which is basically a larger version of the 26/32, and the LT-37DM6 which is the same set but fitted with a card reader to show digital camera pictures on screen.
Sound great so far !!.
One last question, are the setting for Brightness Contrast etc stored for each input ?.
Its not a major thing but on my current Sharp LCD its a very usefull feature.
Do you know where I can demo one of these in the Bristol area ?.
Thank again for your help.
Also, can these new panels do 60HZ through SCARTs in RGB? This is an issue for games consoles at the moment - not a major one, but since it is certain that the DIST CRTS don't, just thought I'd ask. These new LCDs are looking like a very juicy prospect indeed!
Barzo, I agree that the TV needs to be able to hande 60 HZ via RGB but not for games consoles. The only way to go with them is component, especially if you want progressice scan and HI-DEF.
