Hi all,

I've just replaced my Canon printer ink, and as usual have bought a third party ink rather than Canon own brand. Most of my printing is just text so it works fine.

The problem is that now for some reason (having been fine with previous inks) the occasional blacks are coming out a yellow/ orange colour. For example, I've just printed a returns label and the dotted line to cut the label is yellow, while the rest is black as it should be.

I assume I've just got a third party ink that doesn't like my printer. Should I just return it, or could it be something else?

Thanks.

Maybe it was meant to print that way, making the dotted line subtle.

Could have been, but it wasn't that. It seems that the new set of inks aren't letting me known when they need changing and after I checked and changed all that seemed empty, it was printing correctly again. I can mange with these inks for this batch but wont be buying them again...

I see. Not good at all, them generics.
