Hello All,

I need some advice. I am in the process of moving house and I dont know what to do with Sky.

Do I arrange to have my existing boxes installed with a new dish and then upgrade to Sky HD on my existing contract?

or

Cancel the subscription on the day of leaving my current house and then arrange for Sky HD with Sky+ multi room to be installed in the new house?

If I do cancel and then take out a new contract will I be able to watch the recorded programs on the box or will I loose the ability to watch them?

Either way, do I need to have BT lines working to have Sky installed?

Last question, is HD that much better. I keep reading all the comments thats is failing its subscribers.

Thanks in advanced.

You pay 1 month in advance

I'm more than happy with HD, it would be better if there were more channels but for the footie I think it's excellent

A mate of mine recently moved house and didn't think there would be an issue... 3 months later he only just got Sky + installed.

His wife was livid with Sky customer services, they kept on sending installers out either with the wrong instructions, or to his old address!

Now they at last have some form of Sky, they phoned to try to upgrade to HD and there has been some form of restriction on their account put in place, probably due to the amount of complaining they did about the service received.

A "manager" is currently trying to find out how to clearthe restriction and has, so far, not phoned back 3 times when promised.

I wish you good luck with your options!
