Was in HMV yesterday and there were posters around the store advertising a big sales starting on Thursday. It mentions it on the web site as well, but there are no details about it.

I hope it's desgined to rival the Virgin 5 for £30, cos that was pretty cool.

Thats what i thought, I had to get a work colleague to double check the advert!!!

It states that these exclusive offers are very limited stock, and only available in the following London stores:
both Oxford St stores,Trocadero centre and covent garden.

I'm a little sceptical myself, but good luck!

Crazzy Kopite. I think you have missed the virgin sale now. It might still be going in some stores, but the shelves have been picked clean of the good stuff.

Went to HMV Covent Garden at 9:10 this morning, and all SEVEN copies of the Godfather DVD trilogy that they had had already gone! Typical.

Do they charge postage? I have seen Beverly Hills cops box set for £20 just wandering if I order it over the net are there any hidden charges?
I would go to the store but they might not have it in stock in that store and it is about 20 miles from me.

I had a wander around it earlier, and although nothing in particular took my fancy (I'm a poor student), there was a lot of interesting stuff (Braindead & Bad Taste £9.99 each) - especially in the CD section (eg. all the Counting Crows studio albums).

Certainly a step up from the usual sales that are inflicted upon us.

Just been down to the Cribbs Causeway store in Bristol. Quite a big selection, but basically they are just the same prices as on the net. There are a couple for 3.99 chucked in though - Dogma, Sexy Beast and a few others. I picked up 'They Live' for £6, compared to the cheapest net price of £11 on play.

I just had a long look at the HMV site and went to a small local store. I noticed a couple of good cheap DVD films rocky box set £30 Cliffhanger £6 but a lot of the other films were same price as you on the net.
I was dissapointed that Dog Soldiers on video was £5.99 but dvd £17.

Visited the HMV in WImbledon, it was heaving but I have no idea why as the DVDs and CDs weren't exactly bargains.

Virgin are doing 2 for £18 now and there's some some good uns in the selection, like the re-released Predator.

I went in yesterday, but there wasn't much I wanted. I was thinking of getting the Agatha Christie collection for £20, but decided against it and bought South Park S1 for the same price, instead.

Wandered into my local one today, and promptly picked up 5 Queen albums for £6.99 each, including Night At Tee Opera (finally I can compare it to the DVD!). Rarely see Queen albums at that price, so I bit the bullet and bought every one they had that I didn't!

I wanted to see the special offers Virgin are doing but I managed to find the site but not the special offers.
Some one mentioned they got dog soldiers and another film for £17 or something which appeals to me.
