The test channel for the French HD Forum has switched back to MPEG-2 MP@HL. They’re currently broadcasting a new high def loop for the IBC taking place in Amsterdam this week.

    Atlantic Bird 3 @ 5° West:
    11677 V, SR: 25000, FEC: 1/2
    VPID: 528, APID: 529, ID: "channel 0000"
    Provider: "EVS Broadcast Equipment"

    1920x1080i @ 25fps

    Enjoy!

Good Morning Abstrakt, I have the TF1 Channel tuned in, Channel 0000. It looks good, it is basically the same as before with lots of new clips added, including some very nice aerial shots of Paris. It is about 70 minutes long and it is still showing the overscan lines at the bottom like the original loop they had on Hodbird 13E.
Is there some place in MT where I can read the resolution and frame rate?

    That's quite a nice loop.
I can confirm Abstrakt's tuning parameters

    Datarate is 18 Mbps.

    Hi Muf,
Not as far as I know; unless you record a short clip and play it back in a player that lists such information... I used TSReaderLite to get that info.

I thought those film clips looked pretty good. One of them, Les Rivières Pourpres (The Crimson Rivers) should be coming out on WMV-HD DVD before the end of the year in France.

    Cheers.

Thanks Abstrakt, yes I think this entire loop is excellent. Are you using MT with a positioner? I haven't tried it yet, I just have a dual LNB with one output connected to a cheap FTA box with DiSEq 1.2.

No, I don't use DiSEqC at all. My actuator is controlled by an old analog Pace receiver.
