This is a new SES Astra position.
    See Lyngsat for details.

Jeezo! Its like buses, nothing for ages then they all come at once!

Folks are going to have to cough up for a motorised dish if this keeps carrying on!

    Well spotted guys.

According to Crypto from the dvbportal forum :
"The new channel is broadcasting the same Euro1080 test transmission as on the normal Astra satellite position."

Finally had time to check the 23.5 degrees transmission myself.
It is indeed the same content ; Euro1080 are performing what is known as "dual illumination" - same stuff simultaneously on 2 sats.
I also had a loook at the transport stream/

So full info for TS on 23.5E with PIDs is :

    12032H 27500 3/4

Astra logo (not HD) VPID 305 APID 306 (only 1.48 Mbps). PCR PID 305

HDTV VPID 308 APID 256 PCR PID 8190 secondary APID 257
    (18.5 Mbps videostream datarate).

There is also a 15.5 Mbps datastream of some sort on PID 8191 which I haven't had time to investigate yet.

Probably all sorts will happen in the next fortnight as I am away in Ireland (Monday-Friday) followed by Munich the following week

    :-(

I read somewhere that the Euro1080 tests will/have/may WM9 streams within the signal - anyone know how that is picked up with something like ProgDVB - I am getting the HDTV feeds on my PC nicely now. Had to beef the machine up from P4 2Hgz to a 3Ghz and a new graphics card...

That might be the WMA 9 stream? Managed to watch the T2 HiDef WMA9 stream from the R1 DVD - impressive!
