new handcent update = different led notifications!

Just updated this second and you can now change the notification colour of the led on the desire, got mine on blue, but also has green, amber and cyan. I know someone is working on an app to do this for other things on the xda forums so just a heads up to people about this update.

yep, just noticed this, tripped me out cos i installed the updated a few seconds ago then thought the update may have bricked the phone cos ive never seen the blue light before. pheeeeeeew!

I chose Cyan. It certainly shows purple when the message comes in, but once you've cleared the notification from the status bar, it shows blue until you've read it. not an issue, but would have expected purple until read.

Yeah this was discovered a few weeks ago over @ XDA. Good know the HandCent dev is quick to update to include it.

To which version guys? I have v3.0.4 and while the settings do give m,e the option of changing the led notification colour mine shows nothing but orange

Any ideas?

This feature has been available for a few weeks. It was a nice novelty to switch colours around, but I've gone back to green.

I like the customisation but still prefer the look of the default message application. Maybe it's me but I find the iPhone bubble message style a little ugly.

Handcent worked fine for me until the update - now I'm just getting a solid blue LED when I get a text message. It blinked perfectly before and all my settings are the same. Anyone else experienced this?

Did you change the blink frequency? The default is a solid light (on the new version anyway). I changed mine to Normal.

I had a problem with the blue LED too, it was solid and stayed on even after reading the message. I just turned it back to green.
