Just noticed this. Some kind of arcade puzzler, downloading now....
wow these xbox live arcade games are flying out at the moment
On Marketplace. Not tried it yet but it's out according to Major Nelson
Some pics on this game right pane here. Not sure if its the same on Live though.
Looks fun, will check it out tonight.
I thought this was going to be a puzzle bobble/bubble thing but it looks more like breakout from those screenshots? Anyone tried it yet? I can see more points winging their way to M$ tonight...
I really must remove my cc details from my 360...
Just downloaded the demo from the astropop site, is pretty good so will definitely be buying this when home tonight
Basically you have to move tiles around to create blocks of 4 - this can be in any direction except vertical. So you can build up meaty combos (in theory) by removing a pile toward the top, and then having the chain of combo's as the remaining blocks move up the screen
This is the 3rd game ive downloaded now and i keep getting i need to switch my setting to pal 50. Its a bit silly because ms must know not everyone uses there component cable some of us are using the vga leads and have no way of switching the settings.
I hope you meant "Switch to Pal 60" - 'cos I most certainly don't want to switch back to Pal 50 as that would break a lot of my games
Another game of arranging coloured tiles into blocks and rows? Think I will give it a miss then.
Know what you mean. Still keeps the girlfriend happy!
these are getting to be a tad samey now, one or two puzzle types are OK but the LIVE Arcade is over flowing with them, I'll pass on this one and hold out for SF2 and Mad Tracks.
Downloaded it, not that keen!!
Like others have said, another game thats pretty similar to games we already have off the marketplace
i thought it got boring very fast
I quite like it and i dont usualy like these type of games
How many MS Points is the game to buy?
You'll need to empty 800 points out of your piggybank for this one.
Does anyone know if all the live arcade games from xbox 1 are being updated for 360? And how come no one ever talks about the original xbox versions? I only found out they exist when i found a live arcade demo cd bundled with pgr 2....
Well I downloaded it, had a quick play and it's not for me.
This was one of the original Xbox live arcade games along with Bankshot Billiards, Bejeweled, Hardwood Solitaire, Mutant Storm and Zuma.
Hopefully they will convert all the original arcade lineup for the 360 (probably not that hard!). Would love to see Ricochet Lost Worlds (Araknoid clone), Guardian (Defender clone) and Alien Sky (shoot em up). Most of the other games on live arcade were puzzlers, some good some bad. I don't mind a good puzzler (love Jewel Quest), but there are a few too many at the moment.
To be fair it is nothing like Bewelled or Jewel Quest - it's sort of like a cross between tetris, breakout and puzzle bobble if that makes any sense? I quite like it anyway, I enjoy playing the odd puzzle when I need to wind down and relax.
My only criticism would be that it crashed when I unlocked it during my first game... should have known better as Jewel Quest did the same...
Well I got the Pal-60 message after downloading it. Bit of a bugger really as the Monster Component cable doesn't have an SD/HD switch on it.....and i'll be amazed if I kept the composh*te cable that it came with !
Tell me about it - I use VGA so there is no way to change without swapping cables. Best thing to do once you find your composite is switch your console to PAL 60 and just leave it that way. It seems an awful lot of games need it configured this way to work...
Assuming I find it !
Downloaded the trial, played for 5 mins, not impressed. We really have seen it all before.
Cant we have something different please? A shoot em up? Even a board game? where are all the arcade titles you can just relax and play with your mates while voice chatting?
I dont want to be too down on the market place and arcade, but its just not delivering for me at the minute. Still, I have high hopes for the future.
Texas Hold Em and Uno are next........2 card games which should be a laugh on multiplayer
Texas Hold 'Em is going to be free I believe.
Personally I'd love to see some old school top down shoot 'em ups like R-Type, Gunbird or Sonic Wings released... maybe even some of Treasure's titles like Bangai-O. Some classic platformers wouldn't go amiss either.
I'd love to see the original Team 17 game - Worms. That would be a real blast on Live!
That would be awesome!
