Hi guys, I have been looking to upgrade my front three speakers for some time now. Currently have the Dali Zenor 5.1 speaker package (Zenor 3's). Im looking for a pair of floor standers and new centre. I am torn between Kef Q500, QA 3050, MA Bronze 5/6? Im pairing the speakers with Denon X4200, room size is 9ftX13ft. Richer sounds is currently offering the Q500's for £400 however in the shop they have been raving about the monitor audio range! Im not sure what to go for like all three! Kef 500 havent got a chance to listen MA liked that they had lots of bass but have read not as detailed as the QA or Kefs Going to review QA 3050 tomorrow have heard great reports and reviews! Would listen to pop and bass music as well as action movies. Have a sub! Can anyone advise? Cheers Budget would be £500 - 800
Nothing wrong with the Q500 for music, but then again that could be said for all of them, down to personal choice really
Thanks guys after reading and reviewing I'm going to go for the Q Concept 40's and the Concept Centre. Would these be too big for my room. Listening would be around 12ft from speakers? I live in very rural area and my nearest audio hifi is 60 miles away and the nearest richer sounds in 100! And they don't stock all brands so it's hard trying to test different brands as result in going to have to go by reviews and knowledge on this forum. I listen to a lot of pop and bass music. So would like a speaker that can perform but not overpowering in a small room! Superfi are currently doing a deal £700 for the Kef 900's which where 1200! I think I'll stick with the Q Concept 40s can pick them up for £700 as well! Are any of you guys away if you can fix Floorstanders to the floor? Also currently using Montior Audio BXW10 sub would it be worth upgrading any recommendation?! Cheers for any advice
