I assume this will cover the 2400 as well, so it looks like the 2400 is the player for me. Good news and not before time!!! It is good to see how Samsung have become such an innovative company.

So is this decoded on the player or just support to stream DTS-HD MA over HDMI?

I've got a sammy dual ordered but i'm interested in whether it will decode on the player and output DTS-MA over the analogue outs, when it eventually arrives.

Your headline is misleading because the update is saying that the player will o/p the raw bitstream to be decoded by a suitable decoder like one of the new Onkyo's.

It would be nice if the player could decode and o/p LPCM over HDMI for the benefit of everyone who has LPCM HDMI compatible receivers/processors.

Sony have already said that they are commited to onboard decoding and multi-channel LPCM o/p over HDMI first (for the PS3).
