New DVD Player for DVD-Audio, DVD and CD.

At the moment I use my PS3 as a Blu-ray player for my BD's and an old Pioneer 747A for my DVDs.

While my new amp purchase will upscale my 747A input. I think its time to upgrade this machine.

Do I buy a new DVD player in the mid range as they don't make high end ones. I could go for a dedicated Blu-ray player. However, they don't support DVD-Audio.

I was thinking of maybe getting a second hand Pioneer 989AVi DVD Player. 3 things are important to me.

- Quality of DVD films
- DVD Audio and SACD
- High quality CD audio.

Will a lower end DVD player be as good as my current Pioneer 747A for audio playback?

Any advice?
