How long before these puppies come to the UK? I am in need of a new DVD player, and was faffing about cos there wasn't much choice of HDMI equipped players. If the 2910 is as good as the 2900 but with HDMI included, I could wait a bit longer :)

Certainly looks impressive. Not pretty, but hey... :) Can't wait to see how much they charge for it and how poor I'll feel when I realise I can't afford one  .

If this is the only replacment for the A1SRX, then I think Denon are making a mistake and Yamaha will be laughing.

Sure, it looks mighty impressive. But who wants an amplifier 12" high?
Who's going to pay £4500 for an integrated amp? and who's going to want 10.1 sound now when there's uncertainty in 'life after DVD'?

If Denon re-released their current flagship A1SRX with an attractive user interface, multiple subwoofer support, video scaling... etc, I'd consider replacing my A1SE.
But for now, Mr Yamaha has my attention.

Its a safe bet denon wont leave that space empty.

but it does seem the price of amps is ever increasing.
When i bought my pioneer AX10i it cost £2499 on pre order. its repacement now costs £3299 which is a fair jump
and getting into the bit steep area

Although I have been reading these forums for some time this is my first entrance to this hallowed place so here goes. Hoping to replace in the not too distant future my Luxman (old) amp which is hooked up with a Yamaha E200 processor for an av amp. I was shortlisting the Pioneer X10 in its latest guise the X10s, the Yamaha Z9, or the Denon A1sra. Having seen the latest top of the range Denon amp I feel, unless there is to be a more direct replacement for the A1sra, that the new top model is... well too top, in other words too expensive. So I suppose if I have to make a decision I had better make it in the next three to four months otherwise if I do like the Denon, after a demonstration of course, this would be the time. Otherwise it may become unavailable, plus dealers may give extra discounts for an outgoing model. Phew finished. :hiya:

yeah , i dont think we will see the latest denon amp t`ll next year in the uk.

But current king of the hill has to be the yamaha Z9. it sounds outstanding and is an improvment over my current amp, but its alot of speakers to place if u use the front effect channels as well.
