There is a new computer game about to start on Ch4, called Thumb Bandits.

Jeez, when is someone going to introduce an half decent video and computer games programme without 'zany' presenters more interested in style than substance?
The show itself is excellent with plenty of relevant gaming info and good reviews but the two presenters- Alex from 'bits' and lain whatsisname from some controversial C4 late night show, really crapped it up big time- my ideal of the perfect video game show would be based around ITV's cybernet - invisible presenters, which means we get more previews, reviews etc and no egotistical celebs vying for screen time!:(

I thought it was pretty crap. The wild and wacky style really grated. I didn't watch the whole thing but I thought the review of Max Payne was extremely poor.

Alex was ok but Ian 'im on tv me' was extremely annoying but then I thought he was awful on the 11 O'clock show.

Thumb Bandits was really crap. I remember the days of "Bad Influence" on Children's ITV many years ago. An excellent programme that used to be, all the info about new games and computer add-ons, plus the brilliant series "Reboot". Now these programmes seem more concerned about their presenters and the arty look, rather than the products themselves. Cybernet is reasonable but a lot could be done to improve it (less game movie clips and more detail of the game itself and what it actually looks like when your playing it).

Good grief, I stopped watching Bits because I couldn’t stand the presenters and what do they do get the worst of the bunch and put her in this.

Bad Influence wasn’t bad at all I think Violet Berlin was in it.

    Thanks Garrett,
I thought the programme title I originally named did not sound quite right. It was Bad Influence and I really missed the passing of this programme into history.:D

"Bad Influence"! - I remember that. Violet Berlin and a blonde haired bloke who's name escapes me, I think it was Andy someone.
Have you seen the state of Violet Berlin these days on Bravo's "Game Pad"? Some people should just grow old(er) gracefully.

Was that irony? If not was it Andy Peters??? By the way I think Andy is working on a shopping channel now. But who was the nutter who stuck game tip's on his head?
Violet Berlin, well she’s a big girl now.

I remember that. Cheat codes for the mega drive or snes on luminous card!!
What about that game show with Bob watsisname from In bed with medinner. It was on Sky 1 5 nights a week and used to include the "videaters". Big Boy Barry and all them.
It used to start as if there had been a nuclear war. What dross!!
Still, not as bad as some of the rubbish on Game Network. I think that Game Over on .TV was the best video game show in recent times.

Can anything be as bad as the Games Network?
.tv was more or less very good every night from 6-8 apart from the program that did different cars, boats etc. but liked the program with (good grief I’ve forgot the names of some of them, help anyone!) but the ones with E-Bag: Buyers Guide, the one that showed how to do thing on you computer, Chip With Everything, Ex Machina, Game Over and the one on internet sites.

It was Andy Craine on Bad influence.
    It was an ok program.
Even the dedicated sky channel .tv never really did a games programs very well.
The best ones were the industry-based ones like 'players'.
My personal fave was Gamesmaster. It remained entertaining and was the first place I ever saw footage of Mario 64. That's good enough for me!

Only good thing on Thumb Bandits is the Loewe Aconda TV.
