New build house retrofit Ethernet

Good evening all, just looking for advice, just bought a new build house and there is only one eithernet point. Is there a way to run run eithernet within the walls? Is it easy to do? Or is it more trouble than its worth? Thank in advance.

I’m intrigued. One socket? Seems utterly pointless lol.
Retrofitting would be possible but all depends on access to pull cables through.

Depends on what you're looking to deploy. Are you looking for the full smart home experience, so cabling for muliple WiFi access points, video applications, audio, security, data for storage and computer use, and some spare capacity for unknown future plans? Are you able to take up floor boards, chase into walls, and repair/redecorate afterwards?

For me living in a bungalow, I'm able to add applications as I go very easily, but I still needed to plan for some cable chasing reasonably early.
