New build advice.

Hi all, going to build my 1st PC soon and after a bit of advice. Will I need to attach a keyboard by wire (PS/2 port) or will a wireless (logitech k400) work before any OS is installed?

Good luck!

It might depend on your motherboard, but all the ones I have need a wired keyboard to get into the BIOS and to start the OS install process.

Also, IME, a wired USB keyboard should be fine for most modern mobos.

Both Ebuyer and Amazon have them for about £4, handy to have one in the house in case a problem occurs.
