Hello everyone. Ask im getting an 65" Sony X8509C decided to replace my Onkyo NR616 as that didnt have HDMI 2.0a ports.

First brought an Denon 2200w but returned it to RS a day later as i really didnt like it. (although the auto calibration software seemed alot better!)

Spent this afternoon setting up my Onkyo NR646 but im really not sure its setup my speakers correctly.

My speakers are the Tannoy HTS201 bundle. I have turned the crossover on the amp to max which i believe you are suppose to do

The amp has set my crossover to:-
Front 40Hz
Center 70Hz
Surround 80Hz
LPT of LFE 120Hz

Any ideas if this is anywhere near right?

HTS Satellite and Centre
Recommended amplifier power (Watts RMS)25 – 100
Sensitivity (2.83 Volts @ 1m) 87dB
Nominal Impedance (Ohms) 8
Frequency response (-6dB) 100Hz – 40kHz
Crossover Frequency 3kHz (LF to HF)

HTS Subwoofer
Power Output 100 Watts
Crossover Frequency 50Hz – 200Hz, variable control
Inputs LFE / Line Input (RCA / phono), or Left & Right speaker level inputs

HTS Tower
Recommended amplifier power (Watts RMS) 25 – 100
Sensitivity (2.83 Volts @ 1m) 88dB
Nominal Impedance (Ohms) 6
Frequency response (-6dB) 80Hz – 40kHz
Crossover Frequency 3kHz

This is incorrect. You should set surrounds and center 100 or 110Hz and front speakers 80 or 90Hz. If you can't set crossovers separately, then 100 Hz would be good to try.

Many thanks for your help.
