    Hello all,

I am in the process of buying a new PHD8 and some KEF 2005.2 speakers to go with my Pioneer DV575A DVD, Sky+ Box and my soon to be X-Box 360, now I only have the AMP left to buy, I really need something that will give me a nice warm sound that I can hook up all that kit to without having to buy 25 plug in boards for the screen. I was looking at a Denon 1906 but people have told me this will be the weak link in the system, I can stretch to a bit more cash, but I would like to keep it sub £500.

    Thanks all.

Yamaha DSPAX757SE. End of story. Especially given your stated 'warmth' criterion.

    £400 or under.

    (I am biased :D - it's a wicked amp.)

That was my penny's-worth - good luck, whatever you do...!

Wicked surround speakers, by the way - it's what my 757's rigged up to, too.

Bump and while recalculating I may have up to around £700 to spend. Any more ideas, I want decent video power aswell as sound oomff!

I really want to order this in the next day or so, so any help would be great.

the Yamaha is a good bet but if you want to get decent music as well then look to connecting a decent integrated amp at a later date as funds allow.Something like an Arcam Diva A65 or 75

I will mainly be using the Amp for movies and TV viewing, music is not really a great priority, so then, which is considered the better Amp from the following:-

    Denon AVR-2106

    Marantz SR5500

    Yamaha DSPAX757SE

    Onkyo TX-SR603E

    Harman Kardon AVR335

I have rang around our local guys and they only have 1 of them on show  , so as I want to order tommorow I am looking for an idea?
