I've been a Denon devotee for some time now, but now that I am about to enter the HD arena, I'm not sure what to do.
I've bought a Pioneer plasma, and am currently running a 7.1 speaker system through the old Denon AVC1, which does not provide a HDMI signal. With an XBox 360, a possible DVD player upgrade and a possible media PC addition to the kit, I've got a connection problem. I know I can run the video signal straight from the Sky HD to the plasm but that leaves me unable to connect the other devices.
I assume some kind of switching box is feasible, but it strikes me that I'm suddenly bypassing the Denon for everything but sound, so I'm wondering if there is a better option?
Any thoughts. I'm not about to spend £4800 on the new Denon AVC1XV if now is the time to go to separates. Thanks
