New amp or ps3

Hi i have an Onkyo TX-SR876 which has developed the nice hdmi issue so now i can't use it as my blu ray player is a denon 2500bt so not sure if i should just get a ps3 and live with no hd sound or replace the amplifier

i am after something which is as good as the onkyo rather buy second hand and got about £500 maybe £700 to spend thanks

The current Onkyo equavalent receiver would be the TXNR818 and this will cost you about £750.

Other options would be the Denon AVR3313 for about £600 and Yamaha's now discontinued RXA1010 or 2010 for about £550 - 750.

well i like the TXNR818 but do you know if these suffer the same hdmi problems
