Hi guys

Bought my Amazon Fire TV Cube in July this year, it’s the latest generation one, fully updated firmware etc

Cube is connected to my 2015 Panasonic TX-55CX802 TV, I’ve only just realised I’ve had a few incorrect settings set on my TV cube... have a look at the images...

I’ve Changed the cube settings in Display section to these below

Video Resolution to (Automatic up to 4K resolution)
Match Original Frame Rate to ON
Colour Depth to 10bits
Colour Format to Automatic
Dynamic Range to Adaptive

(I take it the above is now correct) ??🤔

My Panny TV is apparent 10bit?

But then looking at the specs of my Sony in bedroom and my Panasonic in living room, it seems the Panny is indeed 10bit but not really? It says on the pic 8bits + FRC? What’s that mean?😳

I’ve now changed the Panny to 10 bit and since then the picture is oversaturated, look at the images... red and pink are odd looking!
I’ve changed it back to 8bit and all is good, what do you think is the issue when I turn it to 10bit on the fire cube ?

Compare the 2 Amazon Home Screens

Very odd!

Update ! Changing it to 8bit or 10bit makes NO difference, it’s when you change from ALWAYS HDR to ADAPTIVE that causes the issue, it’s not right to leave it on always HDR, but clearly an issue with Amazon itself ☹️🤬

Turning off frame rate matching seems to help

ooooh, I’ll try that, but shouldn’t that really be ON for best visuals? why can’t Amazon thought this problem out 🤷🏻‍♂️

Exactly it should but for the moment I can live with a little judder over bright pink/red skin tones!
