Does anyone know when the new Aconda is released in the UK?
The HD/DR+ model? I asked Loewe - they quoted 'early 2004' and offered to place me on a list to receive further details when launched.
eye! it is exactly LIKE the old one.
IT DOES NOT HAVE ENTRANCE BY COMPONENTS NOR DVI EITHER.
But doesn't it have a built-in HDD to record whats on?
Yes, that's the DR+ bit - "Digital RecorderPlus."
The HD part of the name is regarding Loewe's "MediaPlus-HD technology" although no-one's quite sure what that is yet, other than a new tube.
Went into Harrods for the weekly shopping (i wish) and they said they had 7 of the new models in stock. Who think's the salesman was telling the truth??
i might do !
this is because i know that there is a batch of them in the uk.
i spoke to harrods the other day,and they said they would display them once they had cleared the tvs on the shop floor in the sale.
all in all they should on display within the next two weeks.
and YES,it is the same price as before.
When I was purchasing my Articos I also went into Harrods to see the tvs on display. They swore that the new hard drive recorder could be retro fitted into the current model, something Loewe claim is not possible. I'd therefore take the view of the sales staff with a pinch of salt, even if it is a small one. The list price of the new tv may be the same but I would think it would be much more difficult to get discounted prices (I managed to get the best part of £600 knocked off my Articos).
