    Hey all,
Having a bit off trouble with my Marantz SR4300, so with alot of luck I am hoping to get money back on it in as it is a manufacturing fault so...

If it all comes off there will be £350 to spend. Could stretch to £400 though...

The main amp I was looking at was Yamaha RXV440 but at £250 at Richer sounds theres another £100 unused that could go towards a better amp.

    Possible Buys...
    Yamaha RX-V440 - £250
    Yamaha RX-V640 - £342
    Yamaha AX-640 SE - £340
    Pioneer VSXD912 - £378
    Pioneer VSXD812 - £303
    NAD T742 - £354
    Marantz SR-5400 - £399

Am open to surgestions...only must have is 6.1 and Radio possibly.
    Anyone got any ideas?
    Thanks in advance...

If it were my money I'd steer well clear of Yamaha (for subjective reasons :)).

I'd say the Pioneer VSXD912, Marantz SR5300 or Denon AVR1804 (when released) would probably be the models worth looking at.

I'm not a NAD fan either.

I think there've only been minor revisions to the 1803. More power (90wpc as opposed to the 1803's 80), and 7 channels of amplification instead of the same channel used for both centre rears (anybody confirm that?).

I think the same processing chip's being used, so no chance of pre-outs :(.
