Hi audio lovers,

So today I added 2 more height speakers to my setup.
First I was running 5.1.2 Front height.
Today added 5.1.4 Front height & Surround height.
Now I come to the conclusion that Atmos only uses a total of 2 height speakers?!

Because my Denon wont activated the other 2 height speakers. Is this normal?
When using dts + neural x or Auro3d I hear the Denon clicking to activate ALL speakers.

So if I play a Truehd 7.1 atmos mix I have to use an upmixer like Neuralx or Auro 3d to use all 4 height speakers?

I know Atmos is object based, but my Denon not clicking/activating the total 4 speakers.

Looks like you've set them as Surround Heights and not Rear Heights.

@Jase yes I have Front height & Surround height.
My bad with my opening post/thread.

Will the change Surround height to Rear height activate all 4 height channels in Atmos?

Yes. Rear Heights will work for Atmos as well as DTS:X and Auro3D.
