Wonder why there is nothing on the net about it - perhaps it is a Dixons group exclusive

It's a brand new model from the 2007 range.

There's quite alot more coming from all manufacturers over the coming months so stay tuned.

Phillips have some new ones, Samsung are releasing a 37" M87/86 too.

Its on the Philips website at the link the OP gave!

    Generally with Philips

    5xxx numbers = basic models

    7xxx numbers = intermediate models

9xxx numbers = top range models

At £799 its a bit much for a 5xxx when you can get the 37" Tosh at less than £650 and the 37"LG for even less on one or other of the DSG websites

I think that Rich_Enduro above is looking for either Pixel Plus ( on 7xxx and 9xxx models only) or Clear LCD (on 9xxx models only)

In my experience the 5 xxx models are nothing to write home about but perform as well as any other top brand basic model LCD. The 7xxx and particularly the9xxx stand out however for their SD performance combined with excellent HD and facilities.
