I saw an article about a new Toshiba 35" (!) plasma, model 35WP26, due to come out soon. However, I can't seem to find info about it anywhere else.
    Anyone else heard about it?

    Binesh,

Try Toshiba's UK website for specs and a brochure...

    http://www.home-entertainment.toshiba.co.uk/consumer/consumer.nsf/pagesv3/plasma?OpenDocument

Connectivity looks good (2 x component + 2 x SCART amongst others), but poor contrast ratio (don't expect it to look like the Panasonics) and you're not going to be hanging it on a wall anytime soon due to the integral base (30cm deep).

Might appeal to someone wanting a 37" (equiv) TV replacement though as tuner and speakers are included.

(p.s. awake so early because of the hurricane ripping though southern england. Thought the bl**dy roof was going to come off!)

The wind is worryingly violent here also, with the 999 service sirens and alarms going off.

How much is the Tosh and how come the 36/37in Plasmas are dearer than the 42in?

Thanks for the info. I could swear I looked on their site last week and didn't find it.

Anyone have a price for it yet? Non of the main online retailers see to have it listed yet.

I just called Toshiba and they confirmed that this model will not be available until the end of the next month.

It's available now. I saw is today in JL Kingston and was very impressed with the picture. But the price is a bit crazy at £4495.
For once they seemed to have a good feed for terrestrial TV.

I'd really appreciate a short review of the review.

Although I should have learnt by now that the best review is your own eyes it would be interesting see find out what they have to say about it.

I was ready to be quite dissappointed with it because it does not have the same specs (in terms of contrast ratio) as the 42" and 50" Toshibas (which as panasonic clones). However I was very impressived with the contrast levels and picture definition I saw... and i've seen a lot of plasma in the last few months.
