    Hello from a new user

My old faithful T.V. finally gave upast night

I would like to spend no more than 500.00 replacing it. As most of my useage is analogue and DVD i am leaning towards something like the Panasonic TX-28PS5, but would i be better off going 100hz and HDready. i Like Panasonic but am not absolutely fixed on this brand. I do watch football and have heard that 100hz sets can have poor image quality for this.

Any advice or recomendations for other models to consider

    Thanks

I think the new JVC DIST sets are the only HD ready CRT's available, and can be got for under £500 from here (will have to add extra for postage), from what I've heard though its a cracking set (although its about to be replaced).

Get the Panasonic 50Hz and you will be happy.

That is of course unless it has bad picture quality, which I doubt.

I have a Panasonic TX-28PS1 for sale in the classifieds at the moment on here.:D Its being superseded at the moment by panasonic but was the winner of multiple What hi-fi tests and is in there best of 2003 and their TV recomendations guide. Im only selling because I want to upgrade. ;)

Nothing to do with me trying to sell my tv here. From reviews panasonics low range 100htz tv's are not that good. Its only untill you get over £1000 that they really become superb.
