Hi There.
I have a Denon AVR X4200W linked to a 6.2 speaker system and the Denon has had the DTS:X upgrade. My Panasonic Bluray player is Bitstream enabled.
I understand (think) that for DTS:X you do not need specific height speakers as it will carry out the positioning effects with the existing speaker arrangement - correct? Therefore with a Bluray disc with a DTS:X soundtrack the Denon will do its thing with the received bitstream signal.
I think that the Neural X part of DTS:X is an upmixer for non DTS:X enabled sound tracks? Thats when the "DTS Master Audio + Neural X" signal is an option for sound playback.
If the above is correct, then I think that I've just answered my own question.
