    Reconfigured the home network and got the following for sale.

    1) Synology DS211 - dual disk NAS, have used it with 2x3TB disks (not included) and never missed a bit
    --> £120

    2) USB print server - to add networking options to USB printers or USB disks. Model is Networking USB 2.0 Server M1_Connectivity&Sharing_Shenzhen Winstars Technology Co., Ltd. - Powered by Winstars IT Department
    --> £10

    3) Belkin Play N600 wireless dual-band ADSL modem/router. Has a USB port where you can also connect a USB printer or disk.
    --> £20

    4) O2 Wireless Box II wireless ADSL modem/router. Used it for a day or two but already had more than enough modems to choose from. Almost new and boxed
    --> £6

    5) Reserved for disks

    All items were tested before they were put back in their boxes. Would prefer collection (especially for the NAS) but will post as long as they are insured for the full value.

    Delivery: Delivery cost is not included
    Payment method: BT, PPG
    Location: Bristol

    Thanks but not in a hurry to sale and as I will be adding a few more items I could probably sell it as a bundle with other stuff and save on postage. I don't feel it is worth posting anything when postage alone is almost half the value of the item ;-)

    If I registered some interest in the NAS would you consider selling the drives too? Also do you have any more photos?

    I'm really after a 4-bay but I may consider this for the time being!!

    I am not sure which drives I will keep yet but think that I will be selling the smaller ones (1-2TB) as I have found any reasonably priced 4TB to replace the 3TB ones.
    What photo would you like?

    what kind and how much? If you want to sell them now for a good price I would be happy to make an offer with the condition that the deal wouldn't be final until everything else is sold.

    Well if the two 3TB drives could be included would be ideal but I'll go looking at costs and see if its worth it.

    Photo wise I was just thinking front & back as the current photo it appears the power cord comes from the front of the unit which would really irritate me in my AV unit?? I've google searched and all those photos don't show the power supply??

    Also can I confirm if it's the standard DS211 or the 'J' or '+' model??

    That is not a power cord. It is a USB cable as I am backing up all my files. And yes it is the DS211 (not J)

    Excellent, I've just looked at pic on computer rather then phone and can quite clearer see it a USB lead :suicide:

    As I am quite a drive from bristol what is the weight of the unit so I can have a quite look around at insured delivery cost before making an offer?

    If you are selling these hard drives can you update your first post. Vague answers are annoying!

    Will have a better idea of storage needs once I've sorted out all the home PC's. Will update the thread then.

    Well looking at royal mail can do insured and sign for trackable for around £20 if its 5kg thinking including the drives, so if I can convince you to let the drives go at same time I've had a good look around and looked at funds and I could offer £300 Inc Snail Mail for Nas & both drives?

    The only drive I don't need at the moment is a 2TB one. I think it makes more sense to install a few more 3TB disks rather than 4TB ones as the WD's are only a couple of months old.

    Fair enough, I've found the WD reds on amazon at £97 inc postage anyways. So if it the NAS only I have spare funds of £120 inc snail mail...

    Not a bad price for the reds indeed. The other 3TB drives I've tried are from Toshiba which you can get for even less. If you are planning to use the NAS for home use they are probably a better option.
    £120 incl is too low I am afraid

    Yeah I was just thinking the WD reds would be better suited as I'm looking to stream 15+gb MKV 1080p files from it!

    I understand you need to return as much as poss! I'll leave my current offer open for now as that really is a strech on my budget as I was looking a PPG costs to me too. I did look at postage at 2kg fully insured & tracked was £11 for Royal Mail next day!

    It is more like 3kg with the power adapter but I think with postage being that much collection would be a better option

    How much are you asking for the 2tb disk? (assuming you're selling)

    Hi mate, really sorry I know it's only £10 difference but I really had pushed my budgets to the £120... To be honest my total budget was £300 with the 2 WD 3TB so I was going to offer £105 so I could get the drives within budget but felt £105 was a bit of a pi** take offer ;-)
