I've been looking at improving my setup by adding a DLNA compatible Hardisk that could be networked to my new receiver TX-NR905 to play my mp3 music files. I've come across just two drive, the Buffalo Link Station Live (reviews are lukewarm)and Maxtor Shared Storage II. Anyone tried either the Buffalo or the Maxtor? Anyone knows of other tried and tested alternatives?

try a synology ds-207+. Got one of these babies and it's top notch.

    www.synology.com

Get consistently good reviews and has tons of features compared to the competition

Thanks for the tip. I've look synology up and it is too expensive for what it does. I'd like a NAS devise (I'd like to pay £150-£180 or maybe a bit more) that supports DLNA (compatible media server) UPnP, has an FTP server and USB expansion slots. Any suggestions? The Buffalo LinkStation Live 500GB Shared Network Storage HS-DH500GL does more or less what i want but not too well, it seems...
