I intend to buy a squeezebox to be able to stream my music from my PC to the lounge. What do I require to enable wireless access? I understand so far that I need a wireless router and network card. Is this correct? Also what else would I require?

    Thanks.

That is indeed what you could do, however I'm not sure whether it may even be possible to simply use a Wireless Access Point on the PC and avoid the need for a router, ie. a simple peer-to-peer connection to the PC if there's no other need for networking on the PC .. for example an internet connection.
