hi guys, ive just purchased a 2nd hand netgear wgr614 from ebay but having received it i have noticed that there is no CD supplied.
is there any place online where i can download it or do i not need one?
also, is there much point in using firmware and which ones should i use?

You can download most of what you need from the Netgear site. Make sure you identify which version you have before trying to update the firmware.

I had the 'prehistoric' version 1 wgr614 until recently.

Just to warn you - my router used to overheat (with multiple PCs connected and/or using Bittorrent) which required a reboot frequently. I drilled holes in my case and installed a small fan to cool it down which helped a lot.
