Reviewed by Stephen Withers, 16th October 2012. The Netgear N900 (WNDR4500) is an excellent wireless router that offers dual band capability, a wide range of features and flawless performance, all at an attractive price. If you're looking for a new wireless router an you aren't bothered about buying a 802.11ac router, we definitely recommend that you consider the N900.

      This product cannot be recommended.
As you can see in the www there are many users who do not get help from Netgear and it seems that the ReadyShare Cloud exists only on paper.
I will never purchase a Netgear product again in my life.
Also, my company will avoid that company going forward.

Netgear claims that this router works with Macs for Readyshare access to usb drives with Time Machine and USB Printers. When you try to use it with a Mac, it does not work. Any call to support results in an attempt by tech support to get you to purchase their support plan (even though I called within first weeks of setting up the router). I was told that Mac support was not given without purchasing the support!

I am very, very disappointed in Netgears customer support, and would not purchase this router again or any product from them until they dramatically turn their support around.

Can anybody who owns\has used one of these confirm two things for me:

      1) Does it support MAC address cloning?
      2) Does it allow you to issue fixed\specified IP addresses to devices based on their MAC address, rather than through DHCP?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm thinking about using one of these as the primary router in my parents house, and these two features would make life much easier.
