    Hi there,

I am trying to sort out port forwarding for steam on my netgear router.

I know my IP for my computer is 192.168.0.10
I know the required ports for steam - https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8571-GLVN-8711
    • UDP 27000 to 27015 inclusive (Game client traffic)
    • UDP 27015 to 27030 inclusive (Typically Matchmaking and HLTV)
    • TCP 27014 to 27050 inclusive (Steam downloads)
    • UDP 4380

I know I have to go to the port forwarding tab in the router settings to then create a custom rule.

    _____*****BUT*****____
when i do this it comes up saying my server ip entered is illegal?????

    anyone have any ideas.

Post up a copy of what you're trying to apply, or maybe a screen grab. Maybe someone will spot something, but from the information you've supplied nothing obviously wrong jumps out.
