I've just started setting up a wireless video streaming network, I have following
DGN 1000 modem for wired internet connection to:
WNDR3700V1 router
Mede8er media player
and couple of HHD connected via USB cable to the 3700V1

When I connect up the harddrive to the router the Mede8er player sees the drive and streams normal video VOB files.

For some unknown reason it can't see the ISO files on the Hard Drive connected to the router via USB, is this normal or do I need to install some software on the harddrive in order to see the ISO files.

The Mede8er box will play anything you throw at it either played from the internal harddrive or USB stick

Might be wrong but pretty sure I read on this very forum that ISO files don't play using UPNP which I am guessing how you connect to the HHD on the router ?

Correct ISO does not work through UPnP/DLNA.

You must use SMB or NFS to access the router NAS and play ISO.
