It doesn't show up in the App Marketplace yet, but if you use the Bing search and search for "Netflix" you'll find it to download.

It's £5.99 a month for unlimited streaming and you can get a 1 month trial right now by signing up here: -

Netflix - Unlimited TV Shows & Movies Online

If you only get an option to sign up with a Facebook account, try here instead: -

    https://signup.netflix.com/

EDIT - I just tried it. The app is pretty cool and there's quite a lot of content in HD with 5.1 audio. I just watched part of an episode of the US version of The Office and the image quality was excellent. Obviously, whether you get HD or not will depend on the speed of your connection. I have a 20 Mbps connection and it initially only gave me 1 bar with really blocky video quality, but after a few seconds it went up to max and I was watching in HD.

I couldn't see a way to get the trial without Facebook, which seems a bit bizarre.

I'll have another look in a minute at what content is on offer and let you know.

I just tried the PS3 version to compare. While the content is the same, the interface is basic in comparison.

Here's how it looks when you start it up on the 360: -

    And on the PS3: -

It's more like browsing a web page on the PS3 (which is probably what it actually is).

    Hi all,

Netflix is finally out on the Xbox 360 in the UK from what I have read its not showing in the app section but here is how you can easily get it now:-

    1. Sign into your Xbox live profile. You’ll need a Gold account in order for this to work.
    2. Go to the “Bing” search engine on the left and type in “Netflix” into the search bar, press down to highlight “start search for: netflix” and press A. Normally video apps appear in the app marketplace, however the Netflix app will not be available there.
    3. Click on the red Netflix app (it should be the first result) and download.
    4. When the download is complete, you’ll find the netflix app in the “My Video Apps” section under the video header.
    5. You can then either setup an account online through a PC here, or you can create one through the app on your 360. I highly recommend creating one through PC as I definitely know it works this way. Also, your first month is free!
    6. Sign in using your login details. Enjoy!

Update: How to get Netflix on your Xbox 360 in the UK and Ireland right now

Is there anywhere that shows the library of content available? Seems on thewww.netflix.com site they're advertising blockbusters like Robocop 3. There must be more than this?

    The first 5.

As for content in general, I would advise just signing up for the 1 month trial and seeing what you think. Just make sure to cancel before it's over so you don't get billed if you're not into it. There are some fairly new films on there such as Drive Angry, but they're obviously not going to offer unlimited rentals of all of the latest blockbusters for 6 quid a month.

There is a lot more, no idea why they are listing those films and shows in the 'browse selection' part.. a lot more up to date stuff is included and I imagine a lot more will get added this month

It seems to be just that Xbox-specific page that only gives you Facebook as an option. If you use the main sign up page, it appears to allow you to sign up with just an email address: -

    https://signup.netflix.com/

LoveFilm have cut their price to £4.99 in response to Netflix launching, but without HD video, 5.1 audio, TV shows and more content, I think they'll struggle to compete.

I will give it a try later.

What is the film selection like? Is there the option to search via newly released - if so what's available to watch at this time?

There's an Android app available too. I just logged into it and at the very top of the screen was a resume option for the episode of The Office that I watched some of on the 360 and PS3. I clicked it and it picked up exactly from where I left off on the consoles.

I'm really impressed with this service so far.

    Hi,

I would suggest making the account online or perhaps checking online on what they currently have available. I am seriously hoping its better than Blinkbox's selection which is very poor.

Also since you get 1 month free, that is another good way to see what is out and also what is available :)

OK will check it later, bit difficult at work at the moment. I hope it's better than the Lovefilm app.

Excellent, will try that when I get home! I'm really hoping Samsung will release a UK Netflix app for their TV's, that'd be great.

I'm curious what the quality/resolution will be like, they are rubbish on Lovefilm. One to watch!

Signed up this morning and gave it a quick go, love the fact that I can start watching something on my 360 (in HD) and then continue watching it on another device like my phone.

I dunno if anyone here uses Opera web browser, but if you do, Netflix uses browser sniffing and says that your computer doesn't meet the spec to instantly stream movies on your PC.

To fix it, go to any page where instant streaming movies are listed, right-click on the page and choose "Edit Site Preferences...", then click on the Network tab and choose "Mask as Firefox" in the Browser Identification drop-down list, then hit OK. You only need to do that once, then the Netflix site will think you're using Firefox and instant streaming will work just fine.

I still haven't figured out how many devices you can use. Unlike the US version (although it may have changed since I used it), you don't have to activate/deactivate devices. You just log in with your email address and password on the device you want to use and it just works. They must do something to stop you sharing your account with others though.

Hi, I had a look at the website but they only had about 10 films per category :(
Is there a bigger selection if you sign up?

If you click on a genre, there is a "See all" button at the top right of the screen.

Here's the number of items in some of the categories: -

    Action films = 209
    Comedy films = 307
    Dramas = 355
    Documentaries = 100
    TV series = 252

For TV series, that's 252 separate shows, so Peep Show would count as 1, even though there's 42 episodes available to watch. If it's anything like the US version, new content gets added quite often too (and older content gets removed).

Does anyone who uses Xbox LIVE rewards know if you can get "Activate and Use Netflix® Earn 100 points for your first Netflix use." while using the free month trial

Or was this reward only for US?

There isn't a see all button there, just member sign in or how it works but you've answered my question anyway so thanks, I guess you have to sign up to see the full catalogue.
