Hi, when I open the Netflix app on my gt50 and play something why does the audio stop playing through my sony amp???. I then have to play audio through the tv.. I have a virgin TiVo box connected to the tv and amp and audio plays through the amp with no problem

Yep and a coaxial cable

Have you connected the Audio out from the TV to an input on your amp, and have you switched the amp to that input?
