Netflix and Amazon quality poor on TX-DX800 series.

I have the 55" version and it struggles with all netflix and amazon content, with badly defined blacks and block colours and so much motion tracing/judder that it's close to unwatchable. I've been into Netflix preferences so netflix can use all the bandwidth it needs, as I've seen on one advice thread, but this hasn't solved the problem. I can't find a similar settings menu in Amazon so I'm a bit stuffed
I use Virgin Media and I have good broadband speed. I've tried with and without hard-wire to the router.

Are these problems with the in-built TV apps? They may be the problem.

If so try using Netflix on your computer and plug it into the TV and see what happens.
