Nest Thermostat and Power controller

Novice Member

Currently trying to set up my nest thermostat... it was working fine but then suddenly it would not turn on the hot air. I reset furnace and nest thermostat was able to heat house again. Called support and they told me it's because I need C wire. I'm now trying to install C wire using the nest power adapter and noticed that there are two cables coming form the ceiling... One has a white and red wire and the other one the blue, green, white and red wire. The one with four wires is the one that connects to the thermostat and the other cable with two wires has white connected to C on the control board and red connected to yellow. I want to know if it's okay to connect the C wire from nest power adapter to C? I would have two cables connected to C on the control board... Honestly I don't know what the current C cable is powering or is for.
