    Hi,

I bought one of these from Currys on a £1499 deal which included an LG DVD recorder and a stand.

I was a bit sceptical at first, having never heard of Neovia, but after a couple of weeks of owning one I would not hesitate to recommend one of these TVs - picture and sound quality is excellent, and all the connectivity you could need is there (DVI with HDCP, component, 2 x scart, optical, PC D-SUB, s-video).

The only small negative is that this model looks slightly clumsy when compared with the Panasonics, Sonys, etc but I can live with this when thinking of the quality & features you get for the price.

I notice you mention "Optical", is this Optical Digitial Sound IN?

Have you tried it, do you know how does that work (it has side speakers, on the web photos)?

    Hi RockySpieler,

The optical connection on the TV is an output, I have tried it through my surround sound system and it sounded pretty good.

There are two audio inputs on this set, one using a single jack connector and one using L&R phono connectors.

The deal from Currys is pretty good for the TV and the stand, though the spec of the LG DVD recorder is very basic, and I have since sold it on & replaced with a higher spec Panasonic unit.
