My Pioneer DVD player (DV 626) continues to give good service after 3 years.
The problem is that I have a 14 month old daughter who loves to
play with the remote. Recently I noticed that some of the remote keys are
not working, which means I can't change the region code, in one fell
swoop, I can't watch any of my region 1 DVDs.

Is it possible to get a replacement, or is there an alternative remote I can
get which will allow me to key in the remote hack to watch my region 1 DVDs.

    Thanks for any replies.

Rayman, most Universal remote controls wil lhave presets for major manufactureres products. Or can learn from the original remote. That could be tricky if not all the buttons wore. All4One do a basic range. I have a Sony 750Z (or something) remote comander which is excellent. Had it two years, still on the original batteries as well.

Richer sounds have the all for one. go to sony.co.uk and look for remotes. Lots of places online sell them as well.
