    Hi,

I have a Hitachi DV-RX7000E(UK) which I have been delighted with, especially the Timeslip feature which is in use several times each week, using Panasonic DVD-RAMs.

The problem is that after the DVD-RAM has recorded around 6-10 programs, a subsequent program will be recorded with such poor quality as to be unusable (Screen jumping, flickering, sound distorted etc).

I have worked out that reformating the DVD-RAM makes the disc usable again, but this is not very satisfactory as I don't know when to reformat and I live in fear of an important program (the wife's Coronation Street for example!!) being ruined.

Has anyone come across, got any ideas on what the problem might be, and most important how I can resolve it?

    Thanks,

    StewS
