im looking for a table top stand for my pv500 does anyone know where i can find one.
i have just bought an Alphason ADP3/96-S (pictured) along with a 37" pv500 from Stuart Westmoreland in Melton Mowbray they have a few of these stands in stock now for £250.00...the phone number is 01164 502600
That's a great price for that stand!
Hey, britco - can you answer a question for me please?
I have that exact stand, but I haven't purchased the 37" PV500 yet.
Do I need to get the PV500 with its wall mounting kit, or can you attach the plasma straight to the stand?
Any advice around the whole procedure?
i will let you know tomorrow(sat) as thats when my kit is being delivered
i know the 42" fits but the 37" has a bit of a bulge at the bottom that may cause a problem...watch this space
If it helps, I'm told the Marlow branch of Lakes (local AV type chain) have had a 37" on this stand.
it fits perfectly....have taken a piccie for you...you have to fit an extention bracket on the top of the swivel mount but apart from that its perfect...not got mine squared up properly yet ...i have a samsung dvd-hd950 dvd player with an hdmi output upscaling to 720p & the picture quality is jawdropping...my dvds are unbelievable looking especially lord of the rings...breathtaking
Does the extension bracket come with the stand, or does it need to be acquired elsewhere?
In other words, can I just go ahead and buy the version of the plasma that doesn't come with any mounting stuff?
edit - also, is it a two man job to get it all attached?
Hi Andy...you should get the bracket with the stand along with a big bag of bolts...heres a pic of the bracket....& it took threee of us to mount it & mines still not lined up properly...will do it soon but i cant stop watching dvds
Excellent - thank you for that, most useful to know. I'll get recruiting at work
Enjoy your DVDs - I'll be sure to compare notes in a week or so when the telly arrives!
I like the look of this and need a new stand!
Do you think it would fit a 50" plasma?
if not try these companies who also offer cantilever stands and e-mail them if the weight limit isn't on the site.
www.alphasondesigns.co.uk (like the one above)
I have the screen... it is on the stand...
Nearly broke my back!!!!!
(and yes, 3 people it took here too)
Off to enjoy telly niceness!
