I've been tasked by work to find a couple of cheap 37-40" LCD screens for each end of our office to display whats happening on our phone lines. They've asked to keep things as cheap as poss but I can't see it being under £600 for the screens alone let alone wall mounts. Of course the screen would also need a PC input and must be able to fill the whole screen clearly.

    Can anyone make any recommendations?

id steer clear of Full HD tellys personally. Get a 1366 x 768 panel like the one suggested above.

upping the resolution only makes the text on PC screens smaller. And call centre boards usually require making lots of text viewable from distances

id look at the 40" Samsung R87 (£617 best price on-line) or the 37" model (£550 best price on-line) Those are including VAT which i assume your business wont pay. Samsung is about the best for value vs quality i think. They use sony panels so wont be dire build quality, but arent too expensive for it.

and lets face it, if your not paying the bill, your best of getting the best quality that your finance dept will let you get away with.

Thanks very much for the responses guys. I'll have a look at the Samsungs I think. As long as they're okay with PC inputs it'll be great. Of course the Halo 3 after work Tourneys are entirely an afterthought... ;):smashin:

Can you believe that at the place i work they got Panasonic Plasma's to display call stats etc.

    They got 12 50inchers.

They were brand new 3 weeks ago and they are burnt in like a mofo now because they are left with the same images for over 9hrs at a time, i tried to tell them to get LCD for what they are used for but nope, they had to spend shed loads on these plasmas, they are not the cheapo ones either!

The Samsungs might be a little overkill for what you need it for, so a budget set like the Hanspree might be the better option - and spending less money might make your bosses happier!

Ah sod it, go for a Sammy! ;)
