    Hi Hippyross

Welcome to the Forum. You have a very big selection to choose from with your budget. Some of the recommended all-in-one systems would be the Sony systems of Denons new setup. These setups are an amp & dvd player in one box and are very effective in bring movies alive. Try looking through magazines such as Home Cinema Choice etc... to see styles and specs... but you most certainly should find something there for your budget... and dont forget fleabay.

    Good luck

    Enjoy!

    Hippyross,

The Acoustic Energy Aego P5 processor/amplifier/speaker package is fantastic for it's price and size. I've seen the original version (now discontinued) available for very good prices online.

I've recently upgraded from this system and would have no hesitation in recommending it if you want a small speaker system. (They certainly don't sound small!)
